One of the biggest threats to America is indeed religious fundamentalism but it’s white Christian fundamentalism. You don’t see the NYT demanding every Christian politician answer for the sins of their co-believers.

These people will say that they want different things than either party — but when the parties claim to want different things you say that results are all that count.
If you take a broad enough view that you can argue that there are no meaningful differences between the major political parties, then how can you deny that there are no meaningful differences between you and them?
If everything is the same, you are, too.
TIL Trump didn't bother to refill the strategic petroleum reserve last year when oil was dirt cheap. what can you even say www.ft.com/content/d546...
GOP congressman from Tennessee Andy Ogles posted on Ex-Twitter on March 9: “Muslims don't belong in American society. Pluralism is a lie.”
“Pluralism is a lie”
That really is the consensus on the Right: It’s all a lie, no one actually wants it, it’s all just a conspiracy orchestrated by globalist elites, it destroys the nation.
It’s the one thing that unites all the factions on the MAGA right: A rabid disdain of pluralism.

Two-Fisted Tales #34 (1953). The cover shows a close-up shot of a pilot on a WWI era biplane and in the background we can see another plane on fire and going down.
Cover by Jack Davis.
also "it won't be endless" is pretty disingenuous, sure one day american civilization will collapse and the sun will envelop the earth and eventually there will be the heat death of the universe, it is likely the war will be over by then
meanwhile hegseth saying "this is not endless or protracted" is hilarious. no one ever wants a middle east war to be "endless or protracted" but that's how middle east wars have worked for invaders since time immemorial. welcome to the party, pal. no, not that kind of party you lush.
ooh wow you destroyed so much of their conventional weaponry and navy, tell me again how iraq and afghanistan and vietnam worked

Yes, hello, is that God? Yeah, hi. I have a complaint. You gave me this brain that’s designed for finding berries and avoiding lions and now people are ‘just circling back’ to see if we can ‘move the needle’ on ‘key initiatives’? NONE of those things are berries.
This in response to the hundreds of thousands of people who have died as a result of Trump and Musk’s attack on USAID is clear evidence of the exact same kind of brain poisoning that produces, eg, JK Rowling. Winning an argument with the strangers in your phone becomes more important than human life
