Yeah, it’s really fun. I think it’s poor reputation over the years is down to all the badmouthing by the Hammer personnel who didn’t like the way they made films in Hong Kong, and probably couldn’t get a decent cup of tea. It’s a bit colonial.
I love this film. All those Hammer fans over the years who have tirelessly complained about it really missed the point. How exciting would it be to discover there was a Shaw Brothers film with Peter Cushing in?! Oh wait, there’s two of them!

Just submitted the first book chapter I've written for an academic collection in what feels like years. This was also the first time I haven't mainly culled from my PhD thesis either. It was nice to write something new!
Adrian Hoven wanted to direct but the producers refused and contacted Tigon to see if they could get that nice young man who directed Witchfinder General.
