I saw this a couple of weeks ago, and was most amused to realise that there were fewer people in the documentary that I hadn't met than those I had.

The fact that the BBC will produce a six hour special devoted to Kenneth Williams is why I will always happily pay the licence fee:

The U.K. is submitting a song which points out just how boring it is in the U.K. A bold move. Love it.
Thanks for taking risks on books like this!

Japanese exploitation films are just so damn cool.

Probably the first time Iβve watched this in over ten years. Still amazing, and looks great in 4K.

Yeah. I hear rumours the 4K was screened at a secret US festival but that was ages ago.
Whereβs our Blu Ray?
I love The Goodies so much. Possibly more than I love Monty Python. I wish they had also made some movies.
The FIFA Peace Prize isn't what it used to be.
Yeah, it's a great set with more McClure than you can shake a stick at!
Good point. They did automatically send a replacement disc, so I assume that any new orders from them will have it.

Yeah, itβs really fun. I think itβs poor reputation over the years is down to all the badmouthing by the Hammer personnel who didnβt like the way they made films in Hong Kong, and probably couldnβt get a decent cup of tea. Itβs a bit colonial.
I love this film. All those Hammer fans over the years who have tirelessly complained about it really missed the point. How exciting would it be to discover there was a Shaw Brothers film with Peter Cushing in?! Oh wait, thereβs two of them!

Just submitted the first book chapter I've written for an academic collection in what feels like years. This was also the first time I haven't mainly culled from my PhD thesis either. It was nice to write something new!
Adrian Hoven wanted to direct but the producers refused and contacted Tigon to see if they could get that nice young man who directed Witchfinder General.
Can we just admit now that we don't need this family any more?
