My dog has an absolute knack for stopping and sniffing in a driveway where a car is backing out. Or deciding to take a dump when an entire family is in their front yard. 🫩

The folks profiting from consulting about AI will parrot the β€œYou won’t lose your job to AI…” saying. What they WON’T say is that by job, they mean the function (Accounting, HR, Marketing, etc.) and functions that had 10 will only need 1. So even if you know AI, you’ll have a LOT more competition.

Trust isn’t the problem. Maybe design is. | Mark Britz In a world of distributed, fast-moving knowledge work, some interesting research raised an important question for me to explore: Can we create innovative work environments without trusting relationshi...

Do we really need to build relational trust with others to collaborate and innovate? Arguable. www.linkedin.com/posts/markbr...

a woman in a white shirt is sitting on a couch and saying be honest ALT: a woman in a white shirt is sitting on a couch and saying be honest

There’s a quiet injustice when people with a safety net talk about β€œbetting on themselves” without admitting someone else is covering the table. If a slow quarter means tightening up (not losing your house) you’re not playing the same game as the sole breadwinner. Effort can be equal. Risk isn’t.

We all grew up watching the Browns… media updates on another lost game. Even if you weren’t in Cleveland, you got the updates. Good answer, Allar.

Maybe a β€œgood” thing about the average American is that nothing distracts them from interest in the salacious.

Is ADDIE reborn in agentic AI work?

ANALYZE the process being performed
DESIGN the map of human/AI opportunities
DEVELOP targeted AI agents
IMPLEMENT new AI augmented processes
EVALUATE the effectiveness and reanalyze if necessary.

What did I miss?

Didn’t realize that I hadn’t deleted my Facebook or IG accounts. I just stopped using them around 2017. They were good tools tho… to reveal all the racists in my extended family so now that’s done so <delete>.

Websites Are Dead. Go Here Instead. I finally did it. I launched a blog. Then I realized the hard truth.

For the Medium readers… medium.com/gitbit/websi... / yup. Online β€œcommunity” is more about a hashtag. I do miss iGoogle tho. Say what you will… I’ve never found a solid replacement.

I used to love college hoops. I mean bravo for these kids making some $ since the U’s made a ton off them but NIL, transfer portal, kids leaving after a year… the game suffers as the play is almost unwatchable compared to what it was.

Recent grads…You shouldn’t strive to find a good job, you should strive to be so good, jobs find you.

That’s about continuous learning, yes, but it’s also having the courage to put yourself and your work out there on full display for everyone to see.

GenAI will soon supplant today’s browsers as the default search tool. Not only does it narrow down exactly what you seek it does with a chat interface. Personal + Personalized. The win is obvious. The risk, less so. A web designed more for agents than people and people less connected to other people

Been this way for a while now. The simple minded electorate view debate as a winner and a loser vs. what it was - learning different viewpoints. The more aggressive one, the one who gets the slam dunk sound bite is deemed the right choice. Political theater.
