I just feel this sets a precedent going forward where people can now make the claim that "The newest update to (game) it game of the year"/"the latest campaign DLC for (game) deserves a nomination for game of the year".

Well that's just my 2 cents anyway; What's your thoughts?

Personally I'm not a fan of REMAKE/DLC being nominated for game of the year.

Maybe a separate "Remake/DLC Of The Year Award" would justify most of the critique from gamers and fans of the game award.
