I’ve taught it this way for years now and I’ve never seen something “click” so much with so many kids (they think they’re doing something super hard - which they are!). I get excited to teach it now 😂

Exactly the same here! I'm also not wanting to make reading onerous for parents. I get how busy days and weeks are and I want families to enjoy a book because its brilliant, not because they need to fill in a reading record of some sort.

Reading question: If your school has scrapped reading diaries, have you replaced it with anything different? How do you ensure your children are reading out of school? Or do you just focus on IN school? #edu #reading #primary #readingforpleasure #conundrum

How do teachers with kids cope with the parent guilt? My 2 spent the first week of the hols helping me in the classroom (which they loved), but now the last week is drawing near, and I need to start planning. Sandwiched between this has been 4 weeks of pure family time. The juggle is hard! Any tips?
