Reporters United and their media partners say evidence collected by the data protection authority (a separate watchdog) points to Predator being disseminated using text messages appearing to come from the PM's former chief of staff.

PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis told Parliament that Christos Rammos was in open communication with the main opposition party SYRIZA and described the watchdog as “leaking like a sieve”.

Rammos said that the government has created unbearable conditions for the authority to do its job.
