Top tip for anyone going to SXSW: if you call an Uber, there’s a chance (a 50% chance in my experience!) that it won’t have a human driver. You do have the option to refuse (via the app) if it says it wants to send you an AI-powered Waymo. Here’s one picking me up from outside the Alamo South Lamar.
