One would think that this would merit an emergency convening of all Blue state governors, Attorneys generals and Congressional representatives. It's a declaration of war on one state which means they'll do it to others too.
NEW: With Trump calling for a federal “take over of the voting,” state election officials asked the administration to publicly affirm a basic constitutional fact — that states run our elections.
They were met with silence.
This has nothing to do with fraud.
The agents Trump allegedly sent to investigate fraud are shooting protesters and arresting children. His DOJ is gutting the U.S. Attorney’s Office and crippling their ability to prosecute fraud. And every week Trump pardons another fraudster.

I agree with you that those values can be defended without invoking Christianity, but I think he is building an off-ramp for those Christians who are uncomfortable with Christian nationalism, but have been told there is no other path. I think his messaging is Christianity is not needed in politics.
30% of US citizens are pro-Christian Nationalism. Among the GOP it's over 50%
mostly concentrated in the South and Midwest, which is where the Klan was from, so that tracks
There is no drawdown. There is no retreat. ICE is just redistributing their assets to better avoid accountability.

Just a reminder that virtually the entire Republican party, and absolutely the entire Trump White House, is actively covering for this.
