Banning children from using devices won't stop kids going online.
It creates secrecy, it will stop kids from talking to trusted adults when they come across dangerous content.
It also takes the responsibility from companies like X cleaning up their act on misinformation, abusive/dangerous content.

Wearing it also shows solidarity with the thousands of incredible people who work so hard to reduce infections, support those living with HIV, and tackle stigma. I'm proud to call so many of you my friend.

Wearing it still feels like an act of defiance. In 1991, at my high school, I was told to remove my Red Ribbon because it was "inappropriate" in a catholic school (the same school where anti-abortion activists led 'sex education' classes).
Today, 1 December, is #WorldAIDSday. For forty years we have been battling this epidemic, and I'm wearing my Red Ribbon for all those we have lost, including my uncle Ian, and my friends Andrew and Richard.
