We were under tornado watch but they just canceled it. Hope that holds…

For the last several years I’ve put a lot of time into tracking down my family that emigrated here from Hungary. Prior to my great grandparents who arrived here in the early 1900s, there’s no records. I hit a wall for YEARS but today I FINALLY TRACKED THEM DOWN
if you’re not a creative i think you likely don’t know how much almost all of us in the US are constantly struggling
or how much MORE GREAT ART you would get if most of us weren’t constantly worried about not being able to eat or pay the bills

The zine is mixed media heavy with scans and hand drawn illustrations by me. I’m *not* an artist but I do love to doodle in my journal from time to time so the cover has a few quick scribbles :) the zine will release quarterly and will be digital (with a pay what you can model) and physical. 💗

The wrestling muse - a zine by Haley. The cover features a Lucha mask, a passion fruit martini, olives, flowers, a Vivienne Westwood orb, a heel, lipstick and more.
The first issue is meant to feel like a 90s/Y2K teen magazine. The quizzes, crosswords, fun doodles and extras. The cover takes inspiration from the Vogue illustrated covers I grew up flipping through at the grocery store. If you look closely, you’ll see a film overtop meant to mimic plastic wrap!
If you’ve been following me a while you probably know I started a substack years ago. While I no longer use it, I’ve always wanted to have something of my own. So, I’m reviving it in the form of a zine! The Wrestling Muse combines all my favorite things: pro wrestling, fashion, culture, and music.
