TCAS executive and past Director Sally Chivers delivered a keynote address at the CAG Conference in Montreal. She invited hundreds of listeners to accept that fear is an understandable part of growing old. She encouraged researchers to consider how accepting fear might change the questions they ask.

Alana will begin a PhD in Sociology at York in the fall of 2025. She will also be presenting her research at both the Canadian Sociological Association and Our Future is Aging conferences. We're proud to celebrate Alana’s achievements and look forward to her further contributions to aging research.
Meet Alana, recent graduate of the MA in Interdisciplinary Aging Studies at Trent. Her thesis, "Imagining the Possibilities of Care in Old Age: Perspectives of Older Filipino Care Workers", explores how the experiences of older Filipino immigrant care workers shape their visions of old age care.
