Scientists Discover Way To Reverse Chemical Process Linked With Alzheimerโ€™s Disease By watching Alzheimerโ€™s-related protein clumping unfold second by second, researchers have uncovered new clues about the role of metal ions.

This amazing scientific advance may one day lead to either more effective treatments or dare I say perhaps a cure.
This is why it is vitally important to fund basic scientific research.

Fungicides used in agriculture cause resistence in Aspergillus fumigatus (fungus present in every compost heap) wich can infect immunocompromised people. In the NL 1000 infections of resistent Aspergillus each year, 200 fatalities. Don't contribute to this and eat organic!

Hang it in the The Louvre! *

Hugh Grant is right - the privatisation of water is a scam, and it's a Very English Scandal that no-one has been brought to justice for the destruction of our rivers and seas.

We need public ownership, and oversight, now.

- wind peaked at 80% of electricity demand last night
- solar peaked at 14% this afternoon -- a figure that was a summertime record as recently as 2024
