Also, my online friends and I were children/teens?!? It wasn’t even an option in our minds to try to contact ADULT people we admired. I get things are different now and everyone is so accessible, but I feel like some unspoken code of conduct was lost along the way
It still boggles my mind how current day fandom has absolutely no qualms publicly shit talking or directly harassing their favorite creators. 13 year old me had no concept of interacting with anyone even remotely important. We kept all our cringe discourse in private forums where it belonged

Many of the studios that support animated shows are dying and fading away. Hopefully animation is able to transition to new platforms, but until then, this is a scary time for many of the people who make the things you love.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.
