I brought in some cuttings from pruning our apple trees (after wassailing them, of course) - in the warmth, they have blossomed. An early spring awakening 💚 /|\ #druidsky #pagan #naturereflection
We had the pleasure of speaking to Hospital #Radio #Exeter today. Dr Sarah Spencer and Maya Dallal chatted about our community project Roots & Routes, the South West Shakespeare Festival and more. Listen to it here 👉 player.autopod.xyz/1208755 @malcmardon.bsky.social @visitdevon.bsky.social
A small altar to mark #Imbolc today at the Multifaith Centre. A beautiful way to start conversations about the wheel of the year and the seeds we now sow for a rich harvest #chaplaincy #druidsky #Brighid Perfect day to walk our labyrinth, too 🌕 @bdcmuseum.bsky.social @uniofexeternews.bsky.social

Thank you to everyone who dropped in to make decorations for our film-themed #Christmastree or contributed their favourite Christmas #films!

Local happening 👇Today at St Thomas Library 😊
It’s that time of year again. Advent and waiting for the light to return. So I thought I’d post an image of my work a day until the solstice. Here’s The Green Knight, a panel I made in 2022 but it’s a subject that has entranced since I first studied the poem at Stirling University in the 1980s.
Lights... Camera.... Christmas! 🎬
Help us decorate our #museum #Christmastree🎄
Drop in on 8th December, 2:30pm-5pm to make your own film-themed decorations and join us afterwards at 5pm for a mince pie, festive drink, and a tour featuring our #Christmas display!

The Bishop's Wife! Magical, charming and funny 🎄 See you on the 8th December!
Happy Samhain, everyone! 🎃 Enjoyed a beautiful ceremony in #Glastonbury at #ChaliceWellGardens. We felt the relatively new peace pole was particularly pertinent #maypeaceprevail 🕊️ Samhain blessings /|\ #druidsky #witchsky #pagansky #heathensky #Samhain #AllHallowsEve
Asking for help 🙏 I have a short list of "nature and traditional" events in/near #Exeter for our students: www.exeter.ac.uk/students/cha... Would love to add more - know of other #pagan #nature-based #traditional events? Be great to get them connected #pagansky #witchsky #heathensky #druidsky /|\
Oooh spooky stuff 👇 👻 My friends at the Cinema Museum @bdcmuseum.bsky.social in #Exeter are running a FREE kids' workshop today and a #Halloween discovery trail throughout #half-term 🎃 There's a lunchtime talk for adults, too - about #dragons and #monsters 👏 Yey! #pagansky #witchsky #druidsky

Had a lovely evening at the Exeter Hindu Cultural Centre celebrating Navratri ✨🪷✨ and learning more about #hinduism and worldview. Great food and dancing with colleagues from @exeter.ac.uk 🪔🎉 #HappyNavratri
“A beautifully written book of traces and absences.” Many thanks to Stuart Kelly and Scotland on Sunday for this thoughtful review of Upon A White Horse. Great to share the pages with @megaheid.bsky.social
🥳🍾The Argyle Street ash has been crowned UK #TreeOfTheYear 2025 🎉🏆
The 1st tree in Glasgow to be protected by a tree preservation order, it's adored & cared for by the community. Thanks to David Treanor for nominating, & players of People's #PostcodeLottery for their support of the contest.
This review really resonates👇 @drfrancisyoung.bsky.social picks up on Spirituality of Place and, perhaps most importantly, identifies "a phenomenology of Britain’s sacred landscape that is *performed* as much as it is known or understood." Can't wait to read "Upon A White Horse" #druidsky /I\
My review of Ayoush Lazikani’s ‘The Medieval Moon’, in the latest @historytoday.com
He'll be missed - an inspiring person. Here's to celebrating a good life 🎉
Druid Prayer for Peace:
Deep within the still centre of my being, may I find peace.
Silently within the quiet of the grove, may I share peace.
Gently within the greater circle of humankind, may I radiate peace.
May there be peace throughout the whole world. #druidsky /I\ #InternationalDayofPeace

Hazel nuts were believed to be a source of wisdom and poetic inspiration. Nuts fell into a sacred pool from nine surrounding hazel trees and were eaten by a Salmon - both Welsh & Irish folklore have references to the ancient Salmon of Knowledge.
