Of course I meant Drake’s. Duh.

So, reading today that Jacked Up brewery in SD has closed, Figueroa Mtn has merged with Blake’s and others, and thinking about how we can’t visit breweries fast enough before they go. 😢

Our next official beer and baseball trip is this May. Anyone want to guess where we’re going?

Final tally - 15 breweries and a few brewpubs and bars. Recommended - Enegren and Third Window, along with Fluid State. Approved - many, including Institution, Ventura Coast and Poseidon. Successful trip!

Lots of great beer in the northern LA County / Ventura County area. Underrated as a beer destination

Our “off-season” (Baseball season, that is) trip to SoCal starts in about a week and a half. And there will be much rejoicing (and beer).

Well, this is no surprise, although I suspect @grandpabeer.bsky.social and @robg64.bsky.social are about tied for first place.

We’ve had some folks ask to be members. Just remember, you have to be an old guy who likes beer. However, adjunct memberships are always available and welcomed! 👴🏻🍺✈️

Sunday - Mt. Hood (Tilikum Station), Away Days, Baerlic, Wayfinder
Monday - Stormbreaker, Von Ebert, Living Häus

Quite a list, but barely scratched the surface.

Thursday - McMenamins Fulton Pub, Gigantic Brewing
Friday - Deschutes Portland, Backwoods, Breakside, Occidental, Great Notion
Saturday - Steeplejack, Upright, Zoiglhaus (cont)

Totals for this trip - 5 days (really 4.5), 17 breweries. List below:

So far in Portland:
Thursday (partial day) - 2 breweries, just warming up.
Friday - 5 breweries, probably too many, but fun.
Saturday - 3 breweries. Seems about right after Friday.
3 days, 10 breweries so far.
