Hi! With discord’s recent announcement to partner with Persona (even though it has dropped it soon after) many people are concerned with continuing to use discord. We want to provide the safest possible experience to our contestants, so we’re changing some rules to accommodate everyone to the best of our ability. Firstly, we’ve created a submission form through Google Forms to insert your entries to instead. Submitting to the discord channels are still valid, and anyone who’s already submitted their auditions require no action to remain in the tournament. Submitting through the google form is equally valid to being administered and considered into the OCT, but please note that links to your work will be shared, through official IGOCT chatrooms as well as listed on IGOCT social media. We believe sharing your works to be an essential part of OCTs, and hiding your entries would give you an unfair advantage. Standard rules of submission still apply. If you have questions or concerns, message the IGOCT Tumblr or Bluesky account directly. Secondly, concerning the discord. We will be creating a secondary chatroom for our OCT (the discord will not be going away, it will remain.) However, because the realm of alternative discord-likes remain unexplored at this time, we decided that it would be best if we open discussions to the public about the merits of each platform and which would be the best for this community going forward. The platforms we’re considering at this time are Stoat and Fluxer. Attached below is a questionnaire about which of these 2 platforms your prefer. For those in the discord, feel free to use the 2 general chats to argue the merits or flaws of these platforms, or suggested alternatives. Your opinion would be very appreciated at this time.
