This afternoon I made a call to prioritize community over craft. I skipped a talk on POI design in Outer Worlds 2 and another on hybrid/remote work to attend the #1ReasonToBe panel and another on the necessity of hiring juniors.
It was the right call.

9. A short list of things no one should miss at #GDC:
1. #1reasontobe panel
2. Austin Wintory's concert
3. At least 2 IDGA roundtables (I go the the being an effective ally one every year for example), go find a few that seem interesting or apply to you.
4. Alt+Ctrl

More people at GDC could probably benefit from the stories at #1ReasonToBe.
Everything is on fire but there are comrades and hopeful stories everywhere.
