But we must hold one thought in our mind: realism is a moving target. Everything we now take for granted, pensions, weekends, democracy, was once dismissed as impossible.
So maybe the most political thing we can do today is to reclaim our capacity to imagine.

In the way housing is treated as an asset, not a right.
In the way education is a “product” and hospitals are “cost centres.”
In the way dreams are quietly filed under “unrealistic” before they’re even spoken aloud.

And now only the right dares to speak in the language of transformation, to promise a society that has never been: to make society "great again.”
And people are listening to this wicked dream because at least they dare shake a failing status quo.

And in this desert of imagination, it has become almost impossible for left-leaning parties to believe in their capacity to transform the world.
We can see the shambles that has become the Italian PD or the British Labour, neither seem able to inspire anything at all.
