BREAKING - Big Story
A memo from Keir Starmer to all members of the UK Gov Cabinet has been leaked.

I was holding off on commenting on the bombing of an Iranian school until we had some sort of verification.
The verification we have is that Tomahawks aimed at a nearby IRGC base were to blame.
The US denials of responsibility and attempts to blame the Iranians are utterly disgusting.
As an IR professor, it's depressing that this is outperforming all others as the best theory of US foreign policy
An illegal war by USA & Israel, propped up by missions from UK air bases.
Supported by Nigel Farage.
Over 1000 civilians dead & now the threat of global economic fallout. Trump's disaster makes us all less safe, less secure - and we will remember those who backed it.
during the oil/gas crisis caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraime it was striking how some right-wingers tried to gaslight the public into believing the *biggest* problem with their soaring bills (at the time) was green levies rather than the oil/gas price going through the roof
Brent Crude hits $114 a Barrel.
Shame then that it ran out 7 years ago.
Labour's core voters, on which its re-election entirely depends, are crystal clear about this: they absolutely hate its illiberal, intolerant, draconian, rightwards turn. Hence the total collapse in support. So how does the government respond? #SuicideMissionπ€¦ββοΈ

More Lords
Democracy in the UK, a party polling 18% offers another party polling 8% seats for life in the English parliament.
Treated as some sort of recompense to families who have had a birth right to a seat since 1066.
Ruritania 2026.
Oh, just the business vehicle of Nigel Farage masquerading as a political party breaching its obligations at Companies House.
Why is corruption called 'breached standards' when you're already rich and powerful. As a member of the House of Lords, shouldn't you be held to account and jailed rather than being allowed to simply leave? www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
Reform fury as someone else wins by Our By-election Editor Tim Shipsink The losing candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election, Matt Goodwhinge, has demanded an immediate re-run of the election on the grounds that he lost comprehensively to someone else. "It's totally unfair and rigged," said Goodwhinge. "I shouldn't be required to sit there and suck it up, just because I lost." Mr Goodwhine continued, *I can't believe that all those voters I demonised failed to back me. Especially after I was endorsed by Tommy Robinson and ten million Russian bots on X. "We have clear evidence of family voting, where people voted in order for me to stop deporting their families." Mr Badloser concluded. "I'm the victim of colour prejudice. They didn't vote for me simply because I'm not green." Reform leader Mr Farage, speaking from a sun lounger on a rock near the Chagos Islands said, "It's a tragedy that the people of Manchester won't see Matt in Westminster, but my constituents don't see me in Clacton either." Beautiful from Private Eye on the massive toddler-tantrum that Matt Goodwin and Reform are having, because they got whooped in Gorton and Denton.
The Iranian warship was invited to Indiaβs MILAN 2026 naval exercises. Its sailors marched in a parade. They stood beside American sailors.
Then the US withdrew from the exercise.
Then they torpedoed the ship on its way home.
Then they left the sailors to drown.
Sri Lanka recovered the bodies.
What has happened to the Labour Party. π₯
Dear Shabana, I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank. You said: βA party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to make a perilous crossing on small boats.β I suppose I shouldnβt be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division. When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney. As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I filled water tanks and picked up litter. What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country. Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it. It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and croissants to refugees and food parcels. When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She said βwe have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers whilst risking death on the seas.β She said βmaybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on the boats. And again, the Home Secretary is not entirely wrong when β¦
Dear Shabana,
Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.
According to President Zelenskyy, countries in the Middle East fired about 800 patriot missiles in just three days β more than Ukraine has had during the entire war.
