Finished this goddamn corker of a book. I was expecting something very different from what I got, but what I got was an incredible novel nonetheless.

Holy heck, Fugazi just released the 1992 Albini sessions for Bandcamp Friday! Proceeds going to Letters Charity.

I’ve still got about 1/3 of it to go but so far I’m absolutely loving it

I had to flip on the audiobook for half of it. This has never happened to me before. I did not enjoy it.

I finished this goddamned motherfucking thing and it almost turned me into a cruel and violent man.

This is about as bad as a show can be while still being good if that makes sense.

One of the very few 5-star books I’ve read in recent years. I simply have no notes.

I’m hardly voracious. There are mfs on twitter who read like a book a day, which I don’t understand or entirely believe. But thanks. Yeah, Intermezzo rules.

Intermezzo ropes you right in. Only one character has a stream-of-consciousness style narration, and it’s very readable.
No chosen motif on my part, just some books I had on the shelf!
I’m almost done with Intermezzo and it’s honestly incredible and very intimate.

Halfway through this fucker and IT. IS. WORK. Jesus fucking Christ, this thing.

I have MANY complaints — so many that it’s difficult to organize them in my thoughts. Anyway, fuck, on we go.

To be honest it kinda fits with the vibe here. It’s just quotation marks. It’s less off-putting than it is with Cormac McCarthy, who says fuck quotes, em dashes, parentheses, sometimes commas.

I’m also reading this 1,000-page book that’s mostly one enormous run-on sentence. This is the first time I’ve read two books at once in a while and it’s a real headtrip with this thing in the mix.

That sounds about right for DJ Khalid because he seems REAL dumb. But I haven’t seen the commercial.

Ooh sounds interesting. I’m not really into sci-fi these days but I assume that’s only one part of it?

John C. Reilly is quite lanky in a lot of his movies. Sometimes lanky-with-a-gut, but thin nonetheless.

And I wouldn’t call Keenan skinny.

For all the reading I’ve been doing, I’ve neglected Black authors almost entirely for the last few years, and I don’t know why.
So I’m looking for some recommendations.

Only just started but it’s a neat balance of semi-stream-of-consciousness style for one character’s POV, and traditional, intimate narration for the other’s.
No quotation marks, which fucks me off, but that’s creative license I guess.
I expect it to be very sad indeed, and a little bit funny.

Finished this. And look, it’s not for everyone, but despite it being a rough read emotionally, I have to say, I just loved it. Loved it. It didn’t release my attention for a moment.
It’s sadder than you could possibly imagine, but — damn good book.

Oh my gosh, I’d never even noticed them before but this is everything.
