Someone asked me what I do for a living recentlyβ¦errr, pick your own adventure? π
Farmer, photographer, author & e-com store owner. Which one comes first, depends on the weather and the time of year π
Currently my Little Farmers Store is the busiest πwww.littlefarmers.com.au
Iβm still hanging on to it like a bad relationship π¬ it really isnβt the same anymore though, Iβll be gone from it soon I think!
This dam was dry three day ago and had been for twelve months! 103mm in two days filled it β€οΈ
Really feeling for those around me that havenβt finished harvest yet though. Another week of wet weather coming too. Thereβs always something going right for one and wrong for another in farming.
I love them so much! Fortunate to have some beauties here on the farm π₯°
The mighty River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) might be Australia's most iconic tree. It's fun to search for & measure the biggest ones. And it's a great way to get others into nature too!
Here's a ranked list of the largest RRGs I've measured:

Iβm 100% in the honeymoon stage and loving it π
Weβll see how long that lasts!

25mm this afternoonβ¦it got hectic!
My paddocks were desperate for a drink but I know this was the last thing everyone trying harvest needed.
Packing orders (lots of Christmas pressies being ordered from Little Farmers Store right now!) & then hopefully sit back and enjoy some rain Sunday afternoon, lucerne needs a drink. No nasty storms though hopefully, everyone harvesting around me wonβt want that!
π we thought the same thing once as kids and had Dad running out of the house in his pjs to see what was happening π
Ruby!
Did you know that over 75% of the world's food crops rely on pollinators like birds, bats, bees & butterflies? ππ¦
On-farm, even our self-pollinating crops are improved by having pollinators in the paddock, it helps increase yield & reduce pestsπΎ #AustraliaPollinatorWeek
