We were the same way! We didn't sleep for about a month and it takes a huge toll on everyone in the family. Seeing her healthy and thriving has been incredible, though. Hope she gets feeling better soon!
Anxiety meds
We had done a sleep study on her but couldn't find anything wrong. Which is another step that led us towards anxiety
The more we understood, the easier it was to help her. But meds have been the thing that helped the most. We wish we would have looked into them sooner, but we didn't know exactly what we were dealing with and didn't know if it was appropriate or needed.

This book is in the same realm, but helped me understand how trauma affects your body and brain and actually led us to finding answers for her with anxiety. We thought it might be ADHD for a while
This book has been incredibly helpful for both her and us as parents to talk about what's happening
We recently started her on meds and it has been a game changer. She is sleeping through the night for the first time in her life, her mood swings have all but disappeared, and her grades have improved. Now she can use the tools because she feels in control of her body
We had her in therapy for about 6 months and she did really well in learning the tools she needed to manage anxiety. But we kept having things come up that would spike her anxiety and eventually the tools stopped working. /1

We recently had to start my daughter on an SSRI med due to pretty intense separation anxiety, triggered by her witnessing my dad die suddenly.
She is finally falling asleep before midnight and only sleep walks once or twice a night now
