Mark Carney gave the best speech at Davos by far. He understands the situation with clarity while others prevaricate, appease, and send late-night “Dear Donald” texts or call him “daddy.”

I’m seeing many reposts of Donald Trump’s demented distraction from the Jeffrey Epstein mess about Rosie O’Donnell. What I’m not seeing is her sassy response. Here it is:

Carney is not supporting the US. It is well known that since Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear pact, Iran has been stockpiling uranium and has enough to build a warhead. Carney is saying that the US and Iran, among others need to get back to renegotiating a pact.
Seems to me Carney has been busy.

He is distancing himself from the US and forging ahead with new trade and defense opportunities with EU, UK, Australia. Realistically we can never completely sever our trade with the US.
No it is not. We are in the midst of negotiating a trade deal with Trump. I expect Carney to show restraint.
