It didn't occur to me until after I'd read it but Fring probably refutes a lot of the stuff about the use and treatment of cartels as a monolith.
Bit nit picky maybe. Still, I think the broader cultural stuff about wider patterns and how it reflects them is illuminating
Beyond that it entirely swerves Gus Fring, White's fastidious shadow and makes great hay with the high end facility he builds, ignoring that White was cooking in a trailer with stolen school equipment.
I enjoyed this a lot, smart and fair critique on the whole. It stumbles slightly on the idea of Walter White as credible. He IS unusual, makes a set of very suspect decisions and the unlikeliness of that is what sets the whole story in motion. Also if he then just got shot for his troubles, no show
