That's insipid. How many attacks in the last two years?
That's insipid. How many attacks in the last two years?
Yes!!!!!
Congrats, Cindy :)
That sounds me at any party I've ever attended.
Apostrophes? There's a "can't find the clitic" joke just waiting to made.
I wanted to know, but the anecdote works better in generalities.
Interlocutor sounds like a charmer.
I saw it for the first time in residence with a film group. I loved it. Everyone else hated it.
Katherine Helmond should be a trans icon.
shepherd's tones
I smiled to see Brazil on there.
That's horrific
Funny how that works.
Always love these side-by-sides. You look great here, as always.
True, but now I desperately do want to know what subject you're not interested in discussing.
I had a Martian passport, but I let it expire.
Sounds kinda patronizing
That's honestly not bad. I'd kill for that level of service on Toronto's GO.
Sorry. I'm not following the connection. What are you saying?
Much safer :)
Now my curiosity is burning. Were you born in Aus or do you have dual citizenship through descent?
Yes! I've had this exact argument with people.
The biggest risk is oyster sauce in Chinese cooking. I love Chinese food, but have basically abandoned it because there always seems to be residue on the wok.
"Not everyone hikes the mountain."
True.
Some can't, medically, which sucks.
Others are too scared. I hope they work through their fears.
Some claim they're happy just looking at it. BS
Just fucking do it. You'll be winded, battered, and exhausted, and feel infinitely better at the summit.
Again, I thought it was cute at the time and was just happy to see kids excited about reading, even if it was shite.
Shame she turned out to be such a wretched excuse for a human.
That tracks timewise. Iirc, I first heard of them and started reading them right as Goblet of Fire was being released. Had a kid come to lessons exhausted from waiting outside a bookstore overnight.
I agree they were readable. I was around 21 when I read the first books, teaching guitar to 10-11 years who were all big fans. I read them as basically "connect with the kids work." At the time, my judgment was something like "It's cute how much these suck."
No longer cute in any way.
Australian consulate? Oh my. Are you headed to Australia?
I honestly thought they were all derivative dreck. I appreciated that they motivated kids to read in a time when kids weren't reading, but as literature, they read like the deeply unprofessional end of fan fic. Cringey af.
The word of the day is 'airship'
Space elevator
TE Lawrence.
Great epic movie, but definitely steeped in British colonial adventurism and Orientalism.
Unless they're flying fish
Is this where you're working today?
