Yeah the party renewal and democracy party was only released this past week I think
They seem to have been doing aprox one policy plank each month to space them out

Avi mentions electoral reform on his website in the policy section on internal renewal and democracy of the NDO “Political instrument for the people is the title I think”
Last week, we held a critical conversation on Canada’s complicity in the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Despite the supposed ‘ceasefire,’ Gaza is still being starved, bombed, and invaded by Israel in real time with the support of Canadian-made weaponry.
I mean if he becomes a senator we will have his voting record to look at so we will see
Also in the US in 2025 it's much easier to get elected as a fascist than as a leftist. If he had fascist politics why would he take the much more dificult leftist path to getting elected. All of MAGA is fascist and many democrats support the far right in other countries (Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc.)
I'm Canadian I just am not oblivious to the obvious fact that the socially progressive, left-wing Bernie endorsed guy whose holiday season reading list had Octavia Butler, Richard Wolf, David Graeber, Kim Kelly, Jane McAlevey, Eric Blanc, Eric Foner etc. is not a nazi.
The top 1% in America now hoard $55.8 trillion — more than the G.D.P. of the United States and China combined.
The governent has abandoned climate action
That guy is very obviously not a nazi. His platform is to the left of 90% of Democratic politicians. If you think a guy like that is a nazi, I can't imagine what you think of Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer have infinitely more right wing, more racist politics
Emily Lowan is a CCF Green, not a Liberal Green like Liz May. She is part of the tradition of Canadian democratic socialists like Tommy Douglas, Dave Barrett, J.S. Woodsworth and Ed Broadbent. The bigger question is why someone like her doesn't feel drawn to the BCNDP. I'm an ONDPer so idk but yea
Ashton and McPherson both said that they aren't making any conclusions on the case and that they don't know what actually happened.
Canadian friends: today is *the very last day* to buy a membership in the NDP and have a say in who the party's next leader will be.
Only members can vote in March.
On climate and economic justice, we need a strong third party.
Don't sit it out!

I’m getting NDP emails from Avi Lewis that sound a lot like @zackpolanski.bsky.social here and why not? It’s a strong message, the one we need. The standard Liberal model of “let’s make the oil and gas companies rich and soon that wealth will trickle down” has not been working for most Canadians 👇🏼
The vitriol when you do anything other than uncritically praise Carney on threads is unmatched.
It’s also fascinating how they manage to trigger my imposter syndrome with the perfect combo of deep, unrelenting condescension and attacks on my journalistic skill lmao
The groupthink there is brutal
Not a post or recent statement but Avi talks about AI here www.reddit.com/r/ndp/s/GpmJ...
Bold text reads: "HOMES FOR THE MANY, NOT THE MONEY" with a small banner below saying "LEWIS FOR LEADER" on an orange background.
Housing in Canada has become a playground for the rich.
Corporate landlords and real estate investors make massive profits off speculation while too many people are crushed by the costs of keeping a roof over their heads.
It's time to restore housing as a human right → https://lewisforleader.ca/
The NDP needs rebuilding and renewal, and Avi Lewis is its best hope at both. I'll be voting for him enthusiastically in March and I strongly encourage everyone to do the same.

“Trump’s Attack in Venezuela Is Unlawful – and Latin America Will Fight Back”
Trump seems to subscribe to the view that might makes right, that the US is unstoppable. But it is difficult to see the region going back willingly to “backyard” status without a fight, writes Alonso Gurmendi for Zeteo:
