I think the show's still worth watching, especially for the bittersweet ending (it's not perfect but still enjoyable). Black's one of the better Showa entries imo and if it had a consistent creative vision and patched up some rough spots, it could've been in my top 10.

I honestly think Black is very mixed. Every great episode (or multi-parter) is followed by a stinky one. Shadow Moon's debut was great but the show didn't really keep the momentum and constantly flip-flopped in quality with stupid nonsensical episodes that undermine the status quo shift.

All I can say is...at least you still have Ishinomori's episode and Stronger to look forward to...
