An old photo 3 girls of Indian decent. Me a cute baby with big ears being held by Veena. Photo taken in Kenya.
Iβm the youngest (by 12/13 years) between me and my sisters. My middle sis Veena is the best of us. Wouldnβt hurt a fly and sheβs so sweet.
Sheβs climbing up Mt. Kilimanjaro in Aug, and trying to raise money for charity.

5. Creating a Circular Impact
Refurbished tools are sent to project partners in Africa
and the UK, or sold in our shop and at events to raise
vital funds, ensuring every donation goes further.
4. Tools Refurbished in the UK
Across the UK, volunteers refurbish donated tools to a
high standard, preventing waste and creating
resources that are vital for graduates starting out.
3. Building Sustainable Futures
With the right skills and resources, people are able to
earn an income, support their families, and strengthen
their communities for lasting change.
2. Supporting Graduates to Thrive
Graduates receive a holistic package of support,
including quality refurbished tools, start-up grants, and
ongoing mentoring to help them grow their businesses.
How Tools for Self Reliance works...
1. Training & Skills Development
We help deliver vocational training that equips people with
trade skills and business knowledge, giving them the
foundation to start their own livelihoods.

It supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, creates real-world impact, and gives teams something genuinely worth caring about.

Middle top - a group of happy smiling women in bright pink tops, top right - 2 men standing next to each other with arms crossed, with Tools for Self Reliance aprons at an event, bottom left - a young woman laying fabric out on a table, middle bottom - a group of young men at a construction site wearing high vis and hard hats, bottom right - a young man smiling with hammer. In the middle of the box it reads PARTNER WITH US, We Build Working Futures. There's a Tools for Self Reliance logo at the bottom.
New year thought:
what if business did a bit more than just talk about impact?
At Tools for Self Reliance, we work with companies who want to do something practical. Not box-ticky.
Partnerships are flexible & hands-on. You can even pack a toolkit at our workshop thatβll help build a livelihood.

Ah thank you Ollie! π
A wonderful milestone! Congratulations, and here's to 75 more years π
Our charity, Tools for Self Reliance, turned 45 last year (ok, already feels weird saying last year).
Thanks for supporting a small local shop that does a lot of good π
If you don't live locally, we also have great Vinted and eBay shops!
Vinted - www.vinted.co.uk/member/29094...
eBay - www.charity.ebay.co.uk/charity/i/To...
The shop is run entirely by our brilliant volunteers, and every purchase helps supports our work. We donβt receive any government funding, so the shop really does make a difference.
