We have access to a printer/copier/scanner a few doors down from the liberal arts & science adjunct office and two on the next floor up. At a small SLAC in NC.
It’s really going to depend on the professor. Some are happy to answer emails like this, some just ignore emails like this, and some send kinda mean responses.

When cold emailing nonprofits and corporations for work, this email template worked for me:

Sentence about who you are and your expertise. Sentence about your shared connection with the organization’s mission and/or culture. Sentence asking if you can assist with their work such as 🧵
If you need an academic paper that’s behind a pay wall, post the link to the paper, the title, and use #icanhazpdf and wait for someone to send it to you. Let’s see if we can get that going again here. ☺️
I think it’s possible! Academic research has been cited in court materials before. You could offer assistance with finding relevant research + summarizing it on an accessible level.
Would your department (and closely related departments if more people are needed) be willing to host an unofficial ceremony?
