The problem is, everyone I’ve spoken to in MAGAworld content creation — comms staff, influencers, whomever — knows their identity. In off-the-record conversations, people will simply tell me their name as soon as I ask the question, as they’re familiar with the memelord’s style from interactions in the disappearing MAGA group chats. (I do have to pause for a second and acknowledge that the meme zoomers have better opsec than the senior officials who did Signalgate a year ago.) But the moment I ask if they’d be willing to go on background about it — surely they aren’t Nazis, and shouldn’t they call out behavior in their own ranks? — sources immediately clam up. If I prod, they’ll shrug it off as everyone’s just having fun.
So @tinanguyen.bsky.social has spent weeks trying to identify the person at DHS who posts all the racist memes, and instead uncovered a fascinating code of silence: everyone in Trump's Washington knows who it is, but refuses to say. Gift link! -> www.theverge.com/column/89298...
Chris Murphy: "I Just came from a two hour, closed door classified briefing on the war. It just confirmed to me it's totally incoherent. We are not gonna be able to achieve any of our stated objectives ... this is a disaster of epic proportions, a 10 day debacle"
Reporter: You just suggested that Iran somehow got its hands on a tomahawk and bombed its own elementary school on the first day of the war. But you're the only person in your government saying this. Why?
Trump: Because I just don't know enough about it.
According to extraordinary statements from Mark Rubio and Mike Johnson yesterday, the US decided to attack Iran because they knew Israel was going to attack Iran.
Apparently US military policy is no longer decided in The White House, Congress, or the Pentagon … it’s decided in Tel Aviv.

Today, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei meets with Pete Hegseth at the White House, amid intensifying negotiations over terms that would give the military carte blanche to use Anthropic's AI for lethal autonomous weapons with no human involvement. Heres a look inside those talks.

Screenshot of a tweet from “Home of the Brave” quoting Sarah Matthews claiming that a Utah audit of more than 2 million registered voters found only one undocumented immigrant registered, who never voted. Below is a TV news still of a blonde woman speaking on MSNBC, with a chyron reading, “Trump ignores reality as he ramps up election lies.”
The White House first invents a problem, then uses that to justify infringing upon our rights.
