NOVO POST NO SUBSTACK
Desta vez decidi publicar um conto que tinha guardado na gaveta há uns meses.
Uma caminha de retorno a casa, uma pista de dança, uma presença e a sua ausência.
Dêem-lhe uma vistinha de olhos...

Novo post no substack!!!!
Texto sobre a simplicidade brilhante de ICO, o primeiro trabalho de Fumito Ueda e Team Ico. Design por subtração, foco em imersão, narrativação por meios indiretos... Um dos jogos mais importantes deste último quarto de século.

it's really really good
so there was this guy called Hal Hartley who really knew how to make movies and we somehow collectively forgot about it??? what the hell

wow the parade this year was crazy
To The Lighthouse text from chapter 17 of part 1 that describes Mrs Ramsey's feeling at dinner that paying attention to various conversations is like light stealing underwater and revealing various details, some equally fascinating, so it is difficult to keep one's attention on any individual thing.
To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf is the best novel I have ever read.
There's something about the way she writes her narrator that's so absorbing, maybe the way they constantly project their beliefs, fears and prejudices on the world and people around them, creating this sort of illusory control that will inevitably get shattered like a mirror or a dream. Lovely agony
Boulder - Eva Baltasar, translated by Julia Sanches
Finished Eva Baltasar's Boulder yesterday. One of those small books you can devour in a single sitting and will nurture you for weeks to come. So much brilliant use of negative space, and the lyricism here is so ripe it sticks your fingers to the page.
probably the best indie publisher atm, these guys are not fucking around
10/10 album
Talvez seja um tema demasiado divisivo para a harmonia do céu azul, mas... só há duas formas de uma guerra acabar: pela negociação ou pela destruição de uma das partes (ou, o que já pareceu mais absurdo, das duas). 1/6
that dude really couldn't turn off his fanboy brain while writing, he seemed genuinely enthralled by the whole thing

Man I love playing Hades
This is a wonderful piece. I thought I was done with speculation but a few things are pulling me back — I think maybe I’ve got one more job in me.
banger movie
Wuthering Heights
One of those books whose classic status remains simply uncontestable. It puts everything on the line for the sake of Heathcliff's character, something that for lesser writers would directly translate into self-sabotage, but Brontë's careful touch just makes everything soar!
imagine a social media ban causing a shift in geopolitics on the scale of a Don DeLillo novel lmao
Keep seeing people say the Paul vs Tyson fight was rigged.
I'm going to refute this, not because I’m defending Jake Paul, but because I want people to understand the specific scam that’s happening.
When you dont understand how you're being scammed, it just means it can happen again:
i know i'm late to the party, but this thing is fucking incredible

SUPERSTAR: THE KAREN CARPENTER STORY
Todd Haynes • 1987
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess might just be the coolest game I've played this whole year. Cause like... holy shit!
I really, really want to sit down with Newell and tell him that games, being a new art form, had an initial gold rush of trying to invent mechanics for the first time, but eventually you invent a lot of the best practices for how to do things, and then you have to focus on execution.
The idea that mechanical innovation might be more important than the overall game itself is so counterintuitive it's making my head spin... Why even the need to have HL3 be the game that does that, when more smaller projects like Portal could help Valve achieve that very same goal
This was a very good movie and I enjoyed it, however I don’t appreciate how this poster is misrepresenting the role of the cat as being an asshole-cat; the cat was not an asshole at all, as a matter of fact this cat was a very nice cat and they need to fix this poster immediately
🐷NEW VIDEO🐷
Piglet's Big Game has had quite the week, convincing me to play it for the meme but then staying for the unexpected horrors within... join me as I talk about baby's first Silent Hill and answer some of the burning questions about its development.
