Smoking and Complications After Cancer Surgery
This systematic review and meta-analysis examines the association between smoking status or smoking cessation time and complications after cancer surgery.
🚭 New study shows that patients who had smoked within 4 weeks 📅 of cancer surgery had 31% higher odds of postoperative complications versus those who had quit smoking for longer. Earlier smoking cessation interventions are important when considering cancer surgery. Read here: ja.ma/3Djttll
