Progress on my Final Fantasy cross stitch: Pillars lining the top border are complete; am now starting the purple bits to Garland, the final boss. To the right are the player characters Fighter, White mage, Black belt and Black mage, their HP stat blocks behind them and the action menu of fight/magic/drink/item/run below them.

No sooner did I decide to give my right hand a break from soreness & pain than I went and stabbed myself in the left hand prepping lunch and needed stitches 😅 Three and a half weeks later, I’m finally back to progress (albeit slower, haha). This is Rock (left) and Roll, full names Rockefeller Massacre and Rolex Carnage. Rock passed first in December 2021, Roll nine months later. Rock was timid and easy to scare, Roll would aptly beg for pets by rolling back and forth. Could not have had two softer, kinder, more loving boys ❤️❤️

Progress has been slower with pain going on and off in my right hand, so I’m taking it easy for it to not get too aggravated. Darn all my hobbies involving the hands! 🤣 But the pillars are looking great against the black backdrop, can’t wait to bring Garland in 🥳 #FinalFantasy #crossstitch

Took a tedious little minute to get the completed boxes filled in, but finally got to move on to the background for Garland’s boss box. My wonderfully crafty daughter actually had good felt on hand so I could scoot the fabric over far enough. Not much more to go! #FinalFantasy #crossstitch

I cannot see a photo of Nezuko without Tanjiro’s voice screaming “Nezuko!!!” in my head 🤣 The detail and bold use of black in this pattern is amazing, love it!

Coming back to an unfinished work can be just what it needed sometimes; so much of the enjoyment is vibe and mood, haha. Those mistakes can pop out so much easier with time, too. Love the leaf border bringing in the green ☺️
