Okay, look, readers have preferences, literary tastes adn dominant paradigms are always in a state of change, whatever, but maybe if you don't like worldbuilding, fantasy is not actually the genre you should be reading?
This isn't to say no reading slop at all, we all love indulgent books too and there's room for that. But I hate this trend in book reading that's also pushed by booktok ngl, because it pushes a more puritanical and anti-intellectual trend in reading.
