I've seen effort going into making it a process not just one event (2ndry teachers attend some pri events to become familiar faces, multiple, low-stakes opportunities for whole families to visit 2ndry, there's a 'keeping in touch' day in Oct for pri leaders to visit their old y6 as new y7)
