Funny you should say that as someone thought there may have been new turf put in over the offseason. Couldn't get that confirmed though.
So much just died for them as soon as they got into the final third
I think you have to ask what happened after that first goal and why the players seemed to completely ignore the gameplan, that had been doing fairly well. Did they choose to do their own thing and ignore Neville or could he just not get them to buy into what he wanted, which we've seen before.
Timbers fans booing at final whistle. Genuinely don't know if this was for the performance, the manager, the referee, or all of the above!
Meanwhile The Killers are blasting out over the PA.

Much like the Timbers, some dogs knew their roles but most seemed lost out there and didn't know what they were meant to be doing!

- Müller has been kept relatively quiet
- Jeevan took a little bit to get into the game, but thriving now and linking up well with Ocampo
- Velde and Kelsy looked so dangerous early for Portland but fell away
- #VWFC bench looks like adding goals

- Tate has been excellent again at LB. That sliding tackle to break up an attack was first class
- You got to love a streaky White! Two in two. let's go.
- So much of the Whitecaps build up goes through Takaoka. He's a brilliant sweeper keeper

- both teams wanting to press aggressively but that Whitecaps goal seem to rattle the Timbers and they backed off
- Neville spoke about pressuring #VWFC CBs, which they did early
- pitch seems a little off with players slipping and ball holding up on some passes
