Eating pasta. Listening to Mancini. 10/10
High school seniors found me on LinkedIn and asked if they could chat with me about my job because they want to start their own company.
I was never this motivated in high school.
Good for them. β€οΈ
I bet if I got a new notebook that would fix me.
All hail the progenitor of the baby surprise jacket. I made so many of those.
Didnβt he do Day of the Tryffids too?
oh it's going to be a Recession recession
Ex-husband should just be glad sheβs not going to Gatlinburg with his dad.
I havenβt posted too much. Just started a second job. Not sure how long it will last, but itβs a project that involves something I do for fun and pays more than Iβve ever even dreamed of so how could I say no?
(Iβm teasing. Not meant to be rude.)
Sir, LinkedIn is the other blue icon.
I am annoyed about it because itβs the first time I agreed to one in five years. I was happily in my bog witch era and I let some guy poke a hole in my peace because he seemed pretty darn sincere.
Moral of the story is to never leave the bog, I guess. The bog *never* disappoints.
Guy was PERSISTENT about wanting to take me out and then ghosted me day after I agreed. Well before the date ever happened. Just goodnight and never heard another word.
Like⦠did you win a bet over if you could talk me into one or something? Wife go through your phone?
Why are people like this?
Gah itβs cold

And finally, the council has been discussing parsnips with the dragon.
Why is Duolingo like this?
I have an inbox full of flirty drunk texts from yesterday and Iβve realized I was way too harsh on myself for sending those sorts of things when I was younger.
The ego boost on this side of them is incredible.
Yngwie Malmsteen
I have a name that people want to shorten and I *still* tell them to say the whole thing like A Tribe Called Quest.
A montage portrait of science fiction author N.K. Jemisin. On the left, she appears in a close-up photo with long, dark braided hair, wearing earrings, a delicate necklace with a pendant, a deep maroon sweater, and a shimmering green scarf draped around her neck. She has a calm, confident expression and gazes directly at the camera against a softly blurred dark background. To the right are three stacked book covers of her works. Top: The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth trilogy), with a dark, textured design and metallic title. Middle: The Obelisk Gate, featuring an intricate, glowing red-and-purple circular mandala-like emblem. Bottom: The Stone Sky, showing a dramatic stormy sky with a massive floating obelisk. The overall composition highlights the author alongside prominent covers from her award-winning Broken Earth series.
N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth series made her the first Black author to win the Hugo Award for Best Novel. She is the first author to win in 3 consecutive years & the first to win for all 3 novels in a trilogy. Recipient MacArthur Genius Grant, 2020.

Thereβs maybe 10% of this book left and I know Iβm going to hate this reveal.
I hate when you hit a point in a book where you just know the good guy is going to end up being the villain in one more chapter.
I take the number I read from last year and use that for the base for the next year.
One of my sisters foot the bill for our brotherβs cremation last month and the rest of us have been paying her back.
Today she says sheβs using the repaid cremation money to buy new accessories for her smoker.
Am I going straight to hell for thinking thatβs hilarious?
Related.
My reading log over the last three months has just gotten more and more questionable.
