When you live somewhere that doesn't force you into car dependency and you have tons of money left over for other things in life:

It couldnโt be described any better.
I've officially lost track of what we're all supposed to be the most pissed off about right now. We've gone that far.
Cities either move forward or fall behind. Transforming empty lots into walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods gives people and businesses exactly what they need to thrive. Build places where people actually want to live.
Suburbs donโt have to suck, they just need better priorities. With time and vision, even the most forgettable places can become places people actually want to be.
Meanwhile, this pigeon-droppings-covered facility is the bicycle parking at Berlinโs main train station.
Antwerpโs central station is often called one of Europeโs most beautiful railway stations. But what about parking your bicycle there? In this one-minute short, you even see me for a change, walking a bicycle down the ramp and parking it inside the station.

Cities will never be compatible with the car. You can change their design, their fuel source, and their model names, but their problems still remain.
The future of mobility is human-scaled and it's already here.

Anyone who lectures me about e-bikes and laziness, but owns a washing machine, a vacuum cleaner, a dishwasher or a lawnmower, can feel free to piss off.
โโA person was shot by a gun.โ
Weโd never accept that headline. Why do we let drivers disappear when someone is "hit by a vehicle"?
I reported a trail accessibility issue that connects to a parking lot. I received the status quo, "Don't worry, that will be a handicapped space", to which I reminded them that no matter the placard, it will still be a car blocking access to a bike/pedestrian path.
I don't have patience for this.
At first I thought there was no bicycle parking here. Then I discovered this. Makes you wonder: are cyclists considered second-class customers? ๐ฒ @carsten-diekmann.bsky.social
When even bicycle dealers see you as a second-class customerโฆ
Itโs a shame I had to skip the point in last weekโs presentation where it was about the connection between average sales volume and bicycle stand quality.

#Spritsparen

France became the first country in the world to ban supermarkets from throwing away unsold food. Lawmakers passed the Loi Garot, which requires all grocery stores larger than 400 square meters to donate edible food to charities and food banks instead of sending it to landfills.

The most important initiative in debunking manipulation, lies and untruths concerning humanist-oriented urban planning and well-being.
Let's all support it.
Each of us can be the target of attacks by conspiracy theorists, and it is together, with the urban truth, that we will face them.
Go ahead!
Yes.
But โdoing stuffโ wasnโt part of the job description โฆ Who could have guessed that this would be successful?
