Watercolour drawing of the Royal Courts of Justice with people waiting for buses and walking by in the rain. I started this on the spot but took photos in order to carry on with it at home because of the rain. A few brown spots have developed in storage (foxing).

I mentioned earlier today that I had done a watercolour of the London Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand. This is it from 1993 (see alt text). I did several paintings wandering up and down the Strand and also in the Inns of Court.

A white rabbit looks behind themselves nervously with their arms behind their back, said arms bound in-between colored wires and cable ties of various sizes.

A mouse lady sitting in a tulip that is comparatively as big as a chair. She is wearing a flowing dress, holding a parasol, and reaching out to feel a falling raindrop.

A mouse lady, tastefully nude, naps on a sunflower that is big enough to hold her entire body. There's a sleeping bumblebee curled up next to her.

There’s a Guillermo del Toro quote about how a tragedy in filmmaking is that they’re so hard to get made only certain types of people get to direct them, and so there are whole artistic voices that will never be heard in film. I think about this in relation to trans people in public all the time

A two panel comic. Panel 1: A mouse woman in pajamas sits on her bed, inspecting her tail with concern next to her bat friend, who is hanging upside down looking cheerful.

Mouse dialogue: should I shave my tail? I've heard all the pretty city mice have smooth, pink tails...

Bat dialogue: aw, if someone doesn't like your tail we can slit their throat in sacrifice to the lord of death, camazotz.

Panel 2: the mouse lady smiles sheepishly at the bat who is offscreen.

Mouse dialogue: aw we don't have to do that!

Bat: we do.

Two panel comic of a fancy mouse and a deer mouse. In the first panel they are drawn stylistically, in the second they are closer to realism.

Fancy mouse: your eyes are so pretty!

Deer mouse: oh!

Deer mouse: I love your fur!

I was catching up on the Marathon delay news, and this quote by Herman Hulst perfectly sums up why these games aren't for me anymore.

Every single time all they talk about is analytics, test groups, engagement and research data. The word "Fun" is never used in any of those interviews.
