Starting the new year a little late…15 days late…
But officially cleared out all those unread emails 🫠
I’m Rachel and I survived the summer holidays… and my kids did too! I got almost no writing done, my critiquers were also mostly MIA which also slowed things down.
There have been a few things where I have read conflicting reports and so I have gone with one report and then discovered that report was incorrect then had to change.
Well… to understand where or why something is, you need to sometimes understand the greater world politics of the time. And my story does touch on other world events of the time and fashions.
Everything, everywhere, all at once.
I also… just don’t enjoy reading about modern technology. I think it’s because I spent so long in the science field… I can read through the BS.
Like my imagination just goes wild and then I need to fact check myself.
Some yes, some are present, some are a mismatch…
I’m a visualizer. For my historical fiction book this is a little bit of a problem so I have to do a bunch of research to make sure it’s right.
Hmm… no I don’t really care… although I would want to be involved in the process.
Most of my picture book stories are actually based on events that have happened in my life. So I easily could slide into any of those.
I tell stories to my friends and kids all the time and at some point I just need to write them down.
After watching shows like invincible, demon slayer and K-Pop Demon hunters… I finally feel like I can say, yep, the world is ready for an animated version of Kylie Chans White Tiger.
On Monday I was talking to another mum who told me that she once went to the doctors in severe pain and the doctors fix was to prescribe her antidepressants 😳 … it obviously did not fix her pain😳… #medicalgaslighting
