GitHub user 'dogBitcoin', recently proposed a new protocol to be implemented on Dogecoin.

The user, who's suggested the same idea to bitcoin and others, proposes a major restructuring of transaction logic to simplify tokenization.

Despite this massive influx of transactions, the network managed to handle the load without any major issues.

Between May and June, the Dogecoin network experienced an unprecedented surge in transaction activity. During this period, the number of transactions increased to well-over 2 million per day, presenting a significant challenge for the network.

Based on data collected by @Blockchair, it seems the number of daily transactions on the Dogecoin network have now returned to their normal levels, following a recent surge in activity.
