If I had a nickel for every post-apocalyptic story I’ve witnessed this year about companions waiting for humanity’s return while copying their way of life to the best of their ability, I’d have two nickels.
Would be silly enough of an explanation for it. Having the fanservice B-Plot be the cause for a new fanservice-y stage for the main plot.
I've been watching the Yoshiwara in Flames trailers and yearning for a US theatrical release, but I'm now wondering if Hijikata flicking a cigarette is going to be the reason for Yoshiwara now being in flames? They seemed to linger on it a bit in the trailer.

I thought the chains would be good to focus on as well with Dhelmise, since it’s an anchor, but those also have some ~ghostly~ connotations too. A floaty spirit chained to the world, you know how it is.
Also I still think the original design is quite cute.
I thought cracked glass would be a good motif, since the oversized sleeves, while implying a ghost hanging their arms, might also imply clumsiness, and cracked glass also has sort of an old and spooky connotation. Plus Dhelmise has some cracks in it itself.
The character stands lightly balancing on one leg with a Pokéball resting on their left arm, which is covered by an oversized sleeve, as is the right arm. They wear a pirate-like outfit with a captain’s hat and coat. The hat has a compass emblem that’s cracked, and the character is wearing circular glasses, where the left lens is also cracked. Their sleeves have chains running up one end, and they wear a large chain necklace with a lantern containing what looks like a soul beneath cracked glass. The character sports a black, dark violet, and bright teal-green color, and they also wear a jabot, a sash for a belt, slightly cut up purple pants, and black boots. Their hair has a wispy shape towards the top and spurts out into two, slightly less wispy, large ponytails with split ends.
Thought I would take a crack at @marchclub.bsky.social’s ghost gym leader design! Came out looking more different than I intended, but I knew I wanted to keep things like the moe sleeves and chunky chain necklace and exaggerate others to make it more “ghost.”

I'm in my Paldea era, so I wanted to make some fanart of places of this region with my oc! I'm still a beginner in animation and I try to do more and more complex things! (+ I hate drawing buildings so it's a cool training)

I’ve got a chronic case of wanting to draw other people’s characters and not my own. It’s not like I don’t like my own characters! I just get more inspired by others I guess.
Fan art of Jewel: a lady wearing gothic lolita fashion with long bright orange hair that naturally twists around her arms like puppet strings, is posed with her right arm raised and her fingers positioned like she was vaguely controlling a marionette. Her other arm is at her side, and she stands behind and slightly lurched toward Inkenol, which is a fan-designed Pokémon with four stubby legs, a long neck, and a drippy mushroom cap hat. The background is dark with some marionette string-like lines.
Jewel and Inkenol from @twiins-iink.bsky.social‘s Faylen region project! Definitely one of my favorite concepts from the video.

Me and the bestie on our way to free ourselves from the shackles of our past.
Guys, it’s so dire that my old fan art is within the first 10 images when searching his name.
A bust shot of Maniwa Houou from Katanagatari with a bright yellow background. He smiles, looking to the left, and his right hand holds a skewer of dango that overlaps with his body.
You ever have a character who you’re obsessed with, but no one else really is, so they just sort of become part of your brand? Anyways, new Maniwa Houou art.

This collab is currently looking for background artists for Kanto, Kalos, and Galar!
This rulesssss! I love the colors
Alright well surely
There is nothing more telling about how people talk about island decoration in Animal Crossing New Horizons than the term "Normcore."
God I am so in love with the shapes you have going on here. Especially the hair!!
I knew what I was signing up for with her blazer, but I did not expect the amount of trouble I had with her hair... and her earrings… and her shoes.
But I think because of that she has a really cool design and I like her quite a bit and also this is for charity maybe, so it’s worth it!
I drew Briar for this collab!! 💎
Why not have the local mafia lead an inter-dimensional investigation? I mean, part of the answer is "because Emma already doesn't get to do much," and I get that, but these feel like two separate things to me in execution. I like seeing this absolute blender of a city! It's a good bit.
And what I like about his role in the DLC is sort of a continuation of this identity mish-mashing that I love in ZA. The construction workers wear a streamer on their shirts! Team Flare's building back their reputation by selling coffee and pastries! The whole idea of Wild Zones!
Like I really like Corbeau because he's kind of a loser. He's a showboat! Even in the base game, he's obsessed with going "heh, this just shows how awesome I am," even if he denies it! He's obsessed with appearances and overcorrects in a comical way.
Been seeing people get mad that Corbeau is a manufactured Tumblr sexyman and GameFreak's specialist, pandering-ist boy, especially after the DLC, and! Like! Yeah! I thought that was the bit.
Happy birthday!! 🎉
Awesome! An artist I follow just finished their piece, so I imagine this is getting traction for similar reasons.
Also, is there a version preference for Paldea? I might want to draw Briar with either the Scarlet or Violet Book.
Man I wish I knew about this sooner.
Is Briar still available? If not, then how about Saturn?
It's ... uh Alolan Diglett?
Aw thank you.
And, sure, why not?
