For decades, #CCAMLR has been presented as one of the most advanced systems of international ocean governance.
Created to conserve Antarctic marine life through a precautionary, ecosystem-based approach, it was meant to act before ecosystem damage occurs.
We are here to document.

And to push for laws that truly protect this place instead of allowing its exploitation ✊

In Antarctica, behind broad terms like “sustainable fishery” or “blue industry” are very real factory supertrawlers 🚢 with enormous capacity, plundering krill, the main food source of one of the most fragile ecosystems on Earth ❄️🐧

After a long transit south, we have reached the krill fishing grounds and, as expected, wildlife is everywhere. 🐋🐧 Seabirds, seals, whales. Life concentrated in the same waters targeted by the industrial fleet.
