The only hardline is whether someone is *actually* hurting someone else irl. Feeling grossed out/offended is not the same as getting hurt and assuming someone is dangerous from the fiction they consume is cop shit. Thought Crimes are a fascist concept, censorship is a tool of oppression.
You should call your reps. I know they all suck so badly--I know the Congress hates the American people and resents us so much--but you should call. Oppose the "KIDS Act", a bundle of censorious bills that claim to be about kids' safety online, but endanger everyone's data privacy (including kids).
Cuz don't forget: porn is still legal. But when you can't access it or sell it, they have essentially made it illegal without having to jump through the hoops of actually doing so.

Honestly though? I want to start seeing regulations that protect porn from this stuff. Starting at state level and then going federal.

The "no furries with humans" rule is consistently one that sites have been forced to implement and that's how you know it's from payment processor pressure.
It isn't a coincidence that these TOS changes all look very similar. It's because it's the same few companies making these sites do it.
Bully PayPal and Stripe but I still think VISA and Mastercard are better targets: as well as asking your reps to start thinking about laws that protect porn from being debanked.
Again, porn is still legal but they're very quickly making it impossible to access, which makes it essentially illegal.
Getting to feel hopeless w/ all the news and seeing so many ppl on here talking about 'what's the point of calling' and 'well everyone else is calling so *I* don't have to call' whenever this stuff happens.
