You can go back and compare how ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ซ was covered, & itโ€™s simply not remotely the same right now, even though the failure & incompetence is orders of magnitude beyond even the worst caricature of Bidenโ€™s policies:

Judge Hurson acknowledged that ICE has invested considerable resources in acquiring the warehouse, but sided with @oagmaryland.bsky.social that the department did not comply with a proper NEPA review and must do so.

The law actually says to treat these kids as legally present for determining eligibility. It just doesn't require keeping them actually present so that it matters whether their presence is legal or not.

Really interesting proposal from Corey, who is deeply knowledgeable on tax policy & worth following.

The problem for housing is the issues stem from state/local, so thereโ€™s little we can fix at the federal level. Short of directly building housing, this is probably the most bang for buck we can do.

Another word you might use for it is "looting".

Garry Malphrus - Wikipedia

Garry Malphrus, who wrote today's decision, is one of just two people left on the BIA not appointed to the role during Trump 1.0 or Trump 2.0. However, he's infamously one of the most conservative members, and was made the Chief of the Board by Trump last year.

He's also a Brooks Brothers rioter.

The interesting thing about this trade was not just that it cut gas prices for American drivers (which was helpful for individuals but bad for the climate) but also how it set an example of how government might guide all manner of markets. The global oil market, like most commodity markets, tends to be highly erraticโ€”depending not just on thousands of production and distribution networks spread all over the globe, but also highly complex associated financial markets and the whims of oil-producing states like Russia and Saudi Arabia. Thatโ€™s a recipe for major and unpredictable price swings.

Bidenโ€™s big trade acted as a shock absorber for the entire oil system. By selling off such a huge amount, and credibly promising to keep doing it, he caused oil futures traders to assume the price was going to fall, which became a self-fulfilling prophecy. Conversely, by credibly committing to start buying again once oil reached a lower priceโ€”just a bit above where fracking pencils out, which was not a coincidenceโ€”Biden gave producers a strong incentive to invest and boost production, rather than holding back out of fear the price would soon collapse. That ensured that the price reduction created by selling off SPR oil would be sustained over the medium termโ€”and in the process, it broke the stranglehold OPEC had on oil prices.

This kind of โ€œprice guardrailsโ€ strategy could be done in all kinds of markets where a consistent supply at a reasonably stable price is importantโ€”food, lithium, steel, copper, rare earth minerals, semiconductors, computer memory, you name it.

As a congressman, Markwayne Mullin made not one but two solo trips to Afghanistan, ignoring State Department warnings so he could play action hero.

Heโ€™s a former amateur MMA fighter, not a veteran.

If heโ€™d been captured or injured, American troops wouldโ€™ve had to risk their lives to bail him out.

Paul Bremer ran Iraq for Bush. His emails show what really happened โ€˜I am now officially the government of Iraq,โ€™ Bremer wrote to his wife in private messages from 2003 unearthed by The Sunday Times. In frank detail, they show the dangers of waging war without the rig...

Incredible story of what Paul Bremerโ€”for unknown reasonsโ€”decided to stash in a Yale archive: emails that told a true account of hubris in Iraq, most concerned with DC infighting. 5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open.

Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.

4/ Ok, so what ARE the goals? It seems, primarily, destroying lots of missiles and boats and drone factories.

But the question that stumped them: what happens when you stop bombing and they restart production?

They hinted at more bombing. Which is, of course, endless war.

3/ Second, they confirmed "regime change" is also NOT on the list. So, they are going to spend hundreds of billions of your taxpayer dollars, get a whole bunch of Americans killed, and a hardline regime - probably a MORE anti-American hardline regime - will still be in charge.

11.03.2026 01:03 ๐Ÿ‘ 8374 ๐Ÿ” 1360 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 68 ๐Ÿ“Œ 45

2/ Maybe the lead is that the war goals DO NOT involve destroying Iran's nuclear weapons program. This is, uh...surprising...since Trump says over and over this is a key goal.

But then of course we already know air strikes can't wipe out their nuclear material.

I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.

I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.
