I never saw any other IWTV related movies except the Cruise and Pitt film, and while I read the first book back in highschool, I remember little of it.
So s3 is entirely new territory I'm looking forward to, especially with Christopher Heyerdahl on deck as he's a fave of mine ♥

You can read into that as you will but at the end of the day, would have been nice to see the couples be more passionate about one another especially since Armand and Louis were together for so long and Armand's manipulation was such a cruelty.
Armand and Louis were never intimate on screen, and once Claudia came into L & L's lives, all the fire was gone
On the other hand such could speak to American standards that when a child comes into the home, sex takes a backseat and the parents relationship quietly festers unpleasantly.
I must iterate my mantra when it comes to vampires in media:
They are about sex and intimacy, and reducing that neuters them harshly.
Did the show suffer for the lack of them? Honestly, a little.

2-the reduction/lack of intimacy scenes
I was under the impression the show was raunchy and naughty end to end, found it to be rather tame.
I'm not asking for Christmas and musical and beach specials but my god please stretch things out just a little more.
It's getting worse in the fact that we get 8 eps every 2-3 years versus 20+ episodes a year.
Now, there is something to be said of quality over quantity but there needs to be a middle ground somehow found otherwise in another 5 yrs time we'll be seeing 3 eps billed as a full fucking season.
Couple beefs, 1-being it was shorter than it should have been, could have squeezed another 2-3 eps per season. As usual for shows these days but still a constant annoyance.
Great thing about finishing a series is taking it off the blacklists to avoid spoilers lol
