Asking if someone who just lost an animal if they are going to get another animal to help ease the grief is the weirdest question. You don’t ask someone if they are going to get a new grandpa to help ease the grief of losing their other grandpa.

You didn’t deserve to have those mean things said to you in that ad. Go laugh with your community, go share a meal with people you love, and remember how much joy food and being fully fed can bring to our lives.
I want to see you shine and smile and beam with light from every part of your body because you belong here. Just as you are.
Any body part you hate about yourself, I want you to know I love it.
If you haven’t eaten today, you deserve to eat a yummy, nurturing meal- and yes, this can include processed foods. All foods have a seat at the table.
If you have ever or are currently in a place where you too feel so much shame that you could harm yourself, I hope you know how deeply loved and irreplaceable you are.
You are not any of those harmful words so incorrectly spewed at you through your television. You are love, divinity, joy, laughter, nurturing, and powerful.
I could go into a million reasons why I think RFK Jr and the MAHA group are some of the most harmful people today, but I am so tired of being so angry all the time. Instead, I want to live by Benito’s words and send you love and joy.
If you watched that ad and felt anything less than worthy, I hope you remember those words never had anything to do with you.
Any shame someone tries to place onto you is the shame they are trying to remove from themselves. This was the heartbeat of that MAHA ad.
It also makes me really mad that instead of healing your own demons, you are self-projecting and causing outward harm now.
Hey Mike Tyson, I used to hate myself so much that I wanted to harm myself and did by starving my body so much that I was almost hospitalized. It makes me really sad to hear you ever felt that way, too.
What really stood out to me most, though, was when Tyson said he used to "eat anything" and called himself "fat and nasty." He said he had so much "self-hate" tied to nutrition at one time that he wanted to harm himself.
The timing of this ad was intentional. The language, propaganda, and disinformation made my head spin.
Like most of the world, I was on such a high after the Bad Bunny Half Time performance. So, it was quite a whiplash when the very next thing I saw on my screen was Mike Tyson’s face, manically yelling about “obese, fudgy people” while chaotically eating an apple and bumbling about processed food.
MAHA doesn’t want to make you healthy again, they want you to be so sick and unvaccinated and riddled with shame for your body that you can’t fight against them.
Do you think my cat knows that when I’m out of town I stare at photos of her on my phone till I fall asleep? 🥺
