Gamedev Unsung Heroes

I'd like to announce I have a new(ish) Podcast! It's called GameDev Unsung Heroes, and it's basically interviewing all the names in games you don't know about what they do, their career path, a few stories along the way. All free.

Here's the link gamedevunsungheroes.com

I could use re-posting :)

... Have you seen the new Leverage episodes?

... It's being rolled out in a highly deceitful manner against the direct will of the people.

Rammed through. No lube.

This will hurt employees even more because no one will set up a new business somewhere they can't trust the legislature to play by the rules.

- It will destroy entrepreneurship, startups and investments in Washington state.

- It will cause business to leave and move their workforces to other states.

- It - as Larry Springer (D) stated - will open the door to income taxes on the entire population over time. Not just millionaires.

and...

Here's my statement why they shouldn't:

- It is highly unpopular, and has been voted against multiple times by Washington state citizens.

- it is against the state constitution.

- I-2111 was passed by the state legislature banning a personal income tax in Washington State two years ago.

And then you claimed that everyone who signed in to testify against this was a bot.

Even though there's a captcha form.

Even though we have to sign in with our name, address, phone number, and email.

You are a liar.

I'm curious: are there zero consequences for lying and spreading misinformation in your world?

Your graph shows a 1.5% increase in unpaid bills under Trump. The vast majority of the increases you show were under Biden.

You don't show an increase of 11% in electricity prices.

Chart of US unemployment rate.

America has been shedding jobs since 2023?

I think I'm almost done with social media. Bluesky will be the first one I drop. Then threads. I just don't need this in my life right now.

When do you think these changes were made to the algorithm?

So, based on personal experience, GE countertop Nugget Ice makers last about two years before dying. They have a one year warranty. After owning several of these, and having them all stop working in different ways (the latest sounds like bearing failed) I think we're done.

Sorry to hear that Mil. Jonathan was responsible for me breaking into journalism, and essentially kickstarted my career when I was a teen. And then he was my editor for a few months. I'd been wondering what happened to him after The Weekly and then kind of lost touch.

My sympathy to you *hugs*.

You are a nasty piece of work. I'm blocking you now.

Two wrongs don't make a right. This is basic.

No, that's wrong. You don't hide murderers.

If you're anxious and craving chocolate, and have a bad memory... You're probably copper deficient. Go see your doctor.

Flares and activity that cloud seed will raise the temperature less than flares that don't, because clouds are white and reflect 60-90% of the incoming heat. If we get increases in activity without flares that generate more cloud cover, we'll get much hotter days.

Note: the temperature calculation above is an average one. Actual temperature rises will be greater or lesser depending on the kinds of solar flares we get.

This is a really active cycle.

Next year will probably be even hotter than this year as a result.

For the past three years or so the sun has been putting out about 1 more watts of heat per square meter than usual. (Napkin math: that's an extra 6.4x10^13 watts of energy - 640 terawatts - directed right at us... Or about +0.43โฐC, or +0.77โฐF).

Something odd is going on with Wifi at the moment... my usually sturdy LG TV has been having problems connecting, my laptop keeps dropping wifi signal... don't know if it's a wifi router issue, a device has a bad driver pushed to it so it's turned into a wifi-jammer, or someone next door...

Steam Decks make a surprisingly good coding rig if you connect a mouse, monitor, and keyboard to them. Not exactly a Raspberry Pi replacement (too expensive) but not bad at all.
