Iโve been really disappointed with him too, which is why I wasnโt arguing your point either lol
Fair but probably should be assumed.
How else would you phrase it because it literally will be cast that way?
Iโm not sure this is the best demonstration of your argument, because descriptive vs prescriptive questioning exists.
Iโm really glad that ad was shown because I had the exact same reaction, and wouldnโt have known to immediately turn it off (default is on) without it. Even paused the game to do it.
Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taรญnos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous
Ian McKellen performs โThe Strangersโ Caseโ speech from โSir Thomas Moreโ on Colbert.
And all the tourists you mentionedโฆmaybe try more reading, less reply-guy.
Hence the phrase โwell-known.โ
To be fair that is a pic of the Stockyards, probably the most well-known area in Fort Worth.
The only evidence Iโve seen you post was for high schoolers and undergrads, which seems plausible.
Essentially, though thereโs a touch more nuance. The writing hasnโt been up to standard so far and weโve had better candidates. If ai can get to grad level writing, weโll see.
This reply seems misplaced. I havenโt mentioned โfeeling.โ And I canโt tell if you actually read the post you replied to. If you had, it would be no surprise that said essays were rejected.
Vague, non-specific, and distant when asked about personal experiences, and turns of phrase that are odd and almost sound like second language usages when the student is a native English speaker. This is at the grad level, so expectations are higher than undergrad.
They werenโt good essays, AI or not.
So far itโs happened very rarely and only with applicants that were questionable going into the essays, but as ai writing gets better itโll definitely get more complicated.
Can confirm, as a faculty member on an admissions committee.
Post from Amanda Gormanโs Instagram that says amandascgorman Minneapolis, Minnesota For Renee Nicole Good Killed by ICE. on January 7, 2026 by Amanda Gorman They say she is no more, That there her absence roars, Blood-blown like a rose. Iced wheels flinched & froze. Now, bare riot of candles, Dark fury of flowers, Pure howling of hymns. If for us she arose, Somewhere, in the pitched deep of our grief, Crouches our power, The howl where we begin, Straining upon the edge of the crooked crater Of the worst of what we've been. Change is only possible, & all the greater, When the labour & bitter anger of our neighbors Is moved by the love * better angels of our nature.
Amanda Gorman wrote this poem for Renee Good and thatโs it for me tonight.
Technically more accurate parallel but the alliteration and name recognition is better the other way.
