@naomiaklein.bsky.social “Doppelgänger” is amazing. It absolutely “provokes and instills a calm.” It’s helping me understand how all these disturbing things are happening. Reading it is like finally stepping inside and shutting the door when you have long hair and it’s really really windy.
Sometimes it feels like people have forgotten what it means to love someone, but then I remember that maybe they never knew to begin with because no one taught them or even worse taught them that love is actually the opposite of what it is.
Eyes closed, hand on chest, deep breath, have mercy.
